Abstract
This research conceRn with the problem of approximating an nth-orDer contintrous system by a system of order n < n . Necessary and sfficient conditions are derived -for exislence of solution to H takhingga - model reduction problem. These condition are erpressed in terms of linear matrix inequalities (L rfl|. Optimal solufion minimizing the H takhingga- norm of the approximation error exist for n =0,1.,...n-1. computational issues present is the H takhingga - model reduction problem and improved the H takhingga- model error compared lo Balanced Tntncation norm reduction.
