Abstract

This research did on August 7, 1999 to September 11, 1999 in district of 50 Kota which was aimed to know the function of eggs production and some factors who influence an optimalize its production. The methods of this survey was used together the data of inputs allocation and eggs production. The data analysis used power function model which least square methods. The finding showed the number of layer was highly significant to increase the production of eggs (P < 0.01), meanwhile the consumption, vaccine & medicine, mortality, and labour where not significant to influence the production of eggs (P > 0.05). The eggs production tended to grow equal which the increasing of size of production. In actual condition, eggs production was rational, but this one inoptimal. The optimal production could be reached with the additional more layer periodically from the average 6477 to 8526, hopely the production of eggs will increase as much of 27.35%.
