Abstract
A major limitation on the utilization of sugar can top as feed for ruminants is poor nutrional qualify. The aim of this experiment was conducted to find out the optimum level addition of saka and urea on the quality of hay by in vitro. The experiment was performed by using a completely randomized design factorial set of treatment 4 x 4 with two replication. The first factor were level addition of saka : 0, 10, 20 and 30 % and the second factor were level addition of urea : 0, 3, 6, and 9 % from dry matter of sugar can top hay. Results of the study showed that addition of saka and urea could be increas to quality of sugar can top hay. The optimum level addition of saka was 30 % and urea 60 % from dry matter sugar can top hay. It has moisture content 18,95% crude protein 15.97 % IVDMD 55.41 % and IVOMD 46.57 %.
