Abstract

The experiment was conducted to determine the effect of several simple methods for reducing HCN content and inproving the quality of rubber seeds. The methods (treatments) using were : a. Fresh rubber seeds, b. Rubber seeds soah in water for 48 hours; c. Rubber seeds soah in heat water for 30 menit; d. Rubber seeds steam in antoclave for 30 menits. There are 4 replicates in each treatments The results of experiment indicated that significantly differences (P<0,05) among the treatment means on HCN content crude protein, dry matter and crude fat percentage. It can be concluded that the best treatment was the rubber seeds soah in water for 48 hours, where HCN content the comet without affecting on mutrient persentage.
