Abstract

Technological change which involves the use and implementation of new technology is vital for a firm to be competitive in the global economic world. The labor intensive assembly is becoming absolete and new technology involving automation is on the march. In discussing the issue of technological change the issue concerning the effects of change on employees should not be overlooked. The implementation of new technology requires management to be concerned about the attitudes of their employees. The management will have to evaluate the attitudes of worker towards technological change in term of several factors, namely job improvement, job stress and management of change process. These factors are also measured to evaluate the effectiveness of the implemenation program. The result of this survey shows that there is a positive significant relationship between the factor of management of change process and the job improvement factor. It also shows that there is significant and weak positive relationship between the factor of management of change process and job stress.
