Abstract

An experiment was conducted to study the effects of sUbstrate type anD Effective Microorganisms-4 (EM-4) levels on the change of dry matter. Crude protein, crude fiber, ash, crude fat and NPN contents Bokashi Pakan Ternak (BpT). The experiment was designed in Completely Randomized Design, using factorial set of treatment 2 x 3 with two replications. The first factor (A) was two substrate type (Al : poultry manure), and A2 : beef cattle manure). the second factor (13) was there EM-4 levels (B1 :5 ml, B2: 10 ml, and B3 : 15 ml). The results of experiment showed that there was interaction effects between substrate type and levels of EM-4 on increased of percentage crude protein of BPT, but the other proximate analysis no interaction effects. however, the substrate type and levels of EM-4 factors influenced hight significantly on decreased crude fiber of BPT. The conclusion of experiment is aerobic fermentation of poultry and beef cattle manure with EM-4 can be upgraded by controlled fermentation process to a hight protein and decreased of crude fiber. Using poirltry manLrre substratc and levels olirM-+ l5 nrl is optimal treatmen to product BPT, contains about 50,35 %, crude protein higher than the original manure, and decreased of crude fiber 29,73 %.
