Abstract

Kayu Aro business is one of business unit of PTP. Nusantara VI which is located on Kerinci, Jambi. A proper and valid measurement is indispensible to evaluate a current productivity of this unit so as to identify any necessary action to plan and improve the future productivity. This research applied objective matrix (OMAX) to evaluate productivity of production division of Kayu Aro Business unit. At the first stage, critical criteria and productivity indicator are identified followed by calculating ratio of actual productivity and standard productivity, and determining target and weight for each ratio. The actual score and productivity of each period are then calculated to get the total productivity. At the final stage, the evaluation is carried out and productivity planning is designed for the next period. The result shows the total productivity, starts from January 2007 to December 2008, are 587,024; 642,296; 389,932; 292,519; 315,789; 618,904; 682,188; 580,654; 624,530; 441,858; 469,400; 410,946; 477,372; 505,441; 207,577; 497,522; 542,492; 354,165; 556,923; 568,097; 578,432; 456,378; 573,192; dan 578,432. Ratio 3, 4 and 5 need total improvement as they are dominated by the poor productivity while ratio 1, 2, 6 and 9 need moderate improvement. The best result is provided by ratio 7 dan 8.
