Abstract

The of diarrhea coverage to infants 0-6 month in Public Health Center Balai Selasa was relatively high in 2008 along with the high incidence af babies 0-6 months was low given formula milk that means the coverage rates of exclusive breastfeeding. Eventhough health education about the important breastfeeding to the infant aged 0-6 month has been given. Presumably this is caused by infant formula milk lable said it can consumed by infants aged 0-6 mounths, than triggering the mothers to be a consumer of milk formula. That will gived to the baby aged 0-6 mounths. The purpose of this research was providing formula milk to infant with the occurenee of the diarrhea in infants 0-6 mounths in tertory of Puskesmas Balai Selasa Kecamatan Ranah Pesisir Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan 2010. The of this research wes crass sectional study. It has been done on August 2009 until April 2010 with number at sample 102 responden the result showed 56,9% respondent false in providing infant formula milk and 57,8 % got diarrhea because of the infant formula milk Public Health Center worker was haped can support the exclusive breastfeeding programme to the infants aged 0-6 mounths without additional food and give Health education about the advantages of breastfeeding for the infants health for the future.
