Abstract

Cr(VI) is a carcinogen heavy metal which is found with low concentrate in nature. Many of this metal has been used in human life as, material plating, textile, dying. etc. So it is necessary that the method is selective, efficient and sensitive. The investigation of determining Cr(VI) performed with voltammetri stripping adsorptif using 2,2'-bipyridin and working elektrode HMDE, the base electrolyte used is NH3CI2. pH 5 and catalyst NaNOz. The purpose is to acquire optimum condition of determining Cr(VI) that would be applied to sample, with variation accumulation potential, electroly'le concentration, and catalyst concentration. The result indicate that the optimum condition of komplex Cr(III)-bipyridin forming at -0,6V, electrolyte concentration (NH4Cl) 0,1M and catalyst concentration (NaNO2) 0,4M. Applied sample executed at Air Muaro Kuranji. Padang. Obtaining, implied Cr(VI) in sample using extemal standard is 4,99p"g/L where as addition standard is 9,26 mg/L. Detecton limit. SDR and get back continiu is 0,16 gg/L, 15,06 % and 9l,83 %.
