Abstract

Theatre of Indonesia, what really have identity to Indonesia, new there since appearance of Indonesia postmodern of theatre, precisely since show of Jalan Lurus by Wisran Hadi, produced Bumi Teater (Padang) which show in PKJ-TIM Jakarta at 1993. What will be theatre of Indonesia precisely theatre of postmodern Indonesia of JL, that becoming this research case. Through in perpective Cultural Studies, paradigm of postmodernism Indonesia, and use the theory postmodern namely deconstruction, intertext, reception esthetics, multicultural, hypersemiotic/hyperealist, and postcolonial (by eclectic), research problem focussed at analysis form, function, and mean this try to lay open the form, function, and mean the theatre of postmodern Indonesia at JL and at one blow its existence—passing postmodernity of construction, esthetics, social, cultural, and Indonesia politics owned— as really of theatre reality have identity of Indonesia so that really can be referred as theatre of Indonesia.
