Abstract

The effect of ethanolic extract of “kalek salusuah”bark (Tristania subauriculata King) on renal function of white male mice had been done. Mice were divided in 4 groups. One group of mice as Control and the other groups were given aethanolic extract of Tristania subauriculata King with variety doses (100, 300, 1000) mg/kg body weight (BW). The concentration of creatinine was measured on day 7th, 14th and 21th . The serum and urine creatinine are used to evaluate kidney function. The determination of creatinine was carried out by using Creatinine Kit (Merck® ) and spectrophotometer Thermospectronic Genesis 20 at the wave length of 501 nm. The results indicated that renal function rate was decreases on 7th, 14th and 21th with doses (100, 300, 1000) mg/kg BW. Keywords : renal function, Tristania subauriculata King, Jaffe method,
