Abstract
In the present study, it has been studied the effect of Ca(II), Mg(II), and Sr(II) ions concentration to the optimization of Cd(II) transport through a bulk liquid membrane technique. The measurement of Ca(II), Mg(II), and Sr(II) ions have been performed by using Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometre at 228,8 nm; 422,7 nm; 285,2 nm and 460,7 nm respectively, every ions that transported to the receiving phase and that still remain at the source phase was tested. The result showed that this technique is selective enough for the separation of Cd(II) ion besides Ca(II), Mg(II) and Sr(II) ions. The addition of 5 to 20 ppm ion in the source phase at optimum condition of Cd(II) transport did not give influence to Cd(II) ion percentage that remain in the source phase (remain 0 %), while Ca(II), Mg(II) and Sr(II) ions remain 94,29 % and only transported to the receiving phase remain 0-13,96 %.
