Abstract

An antidiarrhoea activities of Elephantopus scaber Linn. extract has been performed on male mice. Intestinal transit method was used with defecation pattern as parameter obsebed. The dosage75,750,300 and 600 mglkg B\f were given orally. The result showed that the oral dosage ) 150 mglkg B\f depressed the intestinal pristaltic and eucounter the diarrhoea effect N'hich was affected by ricini oil without influenced the feces consistency on the treated animals relative to the control group.
