Abstract

Determination of oxalate in cassava leaves (Manihot utilissima Pohl.) by kinetic spectrophotometric method at wavelength 352 nm has been carried out. This method able to determine oxalate at concentration range of 10 – 15 µg/ml. the method possessed the detection limit 4.225 µg/ml and quantitation limit 14.084 µg/ml the recovery 99.96 %, standard of deviation 0.058 and coefficient of variance 0.302 %, respectively. Result of oxalate determination was 17.11 mg/g on fresh leaves and 57.73 mg/g on dry leaves. Keywords : oxalate, Manihot utilissima Pohl., kinetic spectrophotometric method
