Abstract
Tangent point method is one of numerical methods for root finding. This method follow a scheme that may be thought of as providing series of succesive approximations, each more precise than previous one, so that enought repetitions of the procedure eventually give an approximation which differs from the true value by less than some arbitrary error tolerance. The method of tangent point is the only one bracketing methods that specially to solve an even multiple roots.
