Abstract

Quercetin, a chemical cousin of the glycoside rutin from Manihot esculenta Crantz , is appears to have many biologically active. Preformulation studies are usually associated for a new drug substances, would include solubility. The complexation of quercetin by β-cyclodextrin indicated an AL-type diagram with inclusion complex of 1:1 molar ratio and stability constant K is 403,58 M-1. Enhancement of solubility was 9-fold with the quercetin, but not efective to liquid and oral phamaceutical applications. Key words: Quercetin, β-cyclodextrin , complex of inclusion, solubility,
