Abstract

An experiment about the used of “solule starch” as excipient in the formulation of direct compression acetosal tablet has been done. “Soluble starch” was made by soaked corn starch in HCI 7.5 % for 7 days at room temperature. Then strained, washed with aguadest and dried. Last, sived the dry mass and evaluated its flowability, compressibility and other mass evaluation before direct compression tablets were produced Acetosal tablet was made by directing compression method used “soluble starch” as excipient and compared to vivacel 102 and amilum maydis. The result showed that the used of “soluble starch “ as excipient gave tablets that fulfilled the requirement stated in Farmakope Indonesia.
