Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara sumber stres dengan koping mahasiswa keperawatan program pendidikan profesi. Penelitian ini menggunakan deskriptif korelatif dengan 55 orang responden yang berpartisipasi mengisi kuesioner yang terdiri dari data umum, sumber stres di pembelajaran klinik dan koping yang digunakan. Data dianalisa secara univariat dan bivariat dengan menggunakan program komputer. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sumber stres dominan yang dialami oleh mahasiswa adalah dari pengajar dan staf, sedangkan koping yang sering digunakan adalah menyelesaikan masalah. Berdasarkan uji korelasi Spearman didapatkan hubungan negatif bermakna antara sumber stres: perawatan pasien, kurang pengetahuan keterampilan profesional dan lingkungan klinik dengan koping: menyelesaikan masalah. Disamping itu, sumber stres: lingkungan klinik mempunyai hubungan positif bermakna dengan koping: menghindari masalah. Sedangkan sumber stres: pengajar dan staf perawat, tugas dan beban kerja dan teman dan kehidupan sehari-hari tidak ada hubungan dengan koping manapun juga. Disarankan kepada perawat pendidik untuk memberikan dukungan kepada mahasiswa keperawatan sehingga stres di pembelajaran klinik dapat diminimalkan. Kata kunci: Pembelajaran klinik, stres, mekanisme koping Abstract The purpose of this study was to examine the relationships between stressors and coping strategies among nursing students in clinical education. A correlative study was conducted to 55 nursing students who participated to fulfill questionnaires consisting of general information, stressors in clinical education and coping strategies used. Data was analysed univariately and bivariately using computer program. The results showed that the dominant stressor in clinical education was from teachers and nursing staff, while coping strategies frequently used was problem solving. Based on Spearman’ s test, there were negative significant relationships between stressors: taking care of patients, lack of professional knowledge and skills and clinical environment and coping strategy: problem solving. There was a positive significant relationships between stressor: clinical environment and coping strategy: avoidance. There were no relationships between stressors: teachers and nursing staff, assignments and workload and peers and daily life and any of the coping strategies. It is suggested that nurse educators need to support nursing students during clinical education so that stress can be minimalised. Key words: Clinical education, stress, coping mechanism
