Abstract
Switching center has the authority to control and monitor the operation of main station at each location of power plant equipment. It is meant to set a burden or maneuvering by dispatcher. Technology control system of electric power in PT. PLN (Persero) using SCADA system. In this research, the system of electric power load settings that had existed in PT. PLN (Persero) UPB SUMBAGTENG is used as an example of a case that occurred in the industrialized world. The simulation system are equipped with a plant simulator consists of a potentiometer, LM35 temperature sensor and lights. This system uses PLC LG as a unit of control of equipment with a method of programming shaped “Ladder Diagram” and the PC as the central control of the SCADA system through the HMI. HMI is used as an interface between the dispatchers with the plant. PLC program design using XG5000 as the software program and HMI uses InfoU as the software program. Testing of the results obtained that HMI SCADA had managed to make communication with communication serial module and can access I/O required on PLC LG. Keywords : UPB, dispatcher, SCADA, PLC, HMI
