Abstract
INVESTMENT NEED ANALYSIS OF AGRICULTURAL BASED BUSINESSES LEADER IN FOOD INDUSTRY SUBSECTOR AT LIMA PULUH KOTA DISTRICT ABSTRACT The research was motivated by the importance of determining sector, sub-sector or leading business in an area, so that development is focused on the development of the sector, sub-sector or leading business that have comparative and competitive advantages. This research examines advantages of the business agricultural based in the food industry subsector because the agricultural based businesses leader can be categorized as a pull factor for the demand for agricultural products. The research objectivesare: (1) to to iidentify the agricultural based businesses leader in food industry subsector in Lima Puluh Kota District, (2) to analyze the investment needs of agricultural based businesses leader in food industry subsectors in Lima Puluh Kota District for 2012 -2016. The finding shows that there are five agricultural based basis businesses, which 4 of them are the business moving forward and grow rapidly so that it can be classified as a business leader. Leading business of agricultural raw material is a tempe industry with a value of LQ = 2.00. Meanwhile there are 11 the agricultural based businesses non leader in the food industry. Leading business field is one parameter that indicates that the business can drive economic growth better than other business sectors. Based on ICOR calculation and target growth, the investment needs of agricultural based businesses leader in food industry subsectors in Limapuluh Kota District in 2012 is Rp. 93.866.050; in 2013 is Rp. 129,092,580; in 2014 is Rp. 111,202,700; in 2015 is Rp. 184,471,090; and in 2016 is Rp. 130 274 500.
