Abstract
PENGARUH PENAMBAHAN ZEOLIT ALAM PADA SIFAT FISIKA DAN KIMIA KOMPOS AMPAS TAHU oleh: ZUL ARIFIN (06 132 047) Sarjana Sains (S. Si) dalam Bidang Kimia Fakultas MIPA Universitas Andalas dibimbing oleh: Dr. Upita Septiani dan Dr. Syukri Penelitian mengenai pengaruh zeolit alam Gunung Kidul Yogyakarta terhadap sifat fisika dan kimia pada kompos berbahan baku ampas tahu telah dilakukan. Kompos yang ditambahan zeolit berwarna hitam keabuan. Penambahan zeolit 30 – 90 g pada kompos ampas tahu akan meningkatkan hasil akhir massa kompos sebesar 24,51 % – 58,82 % dibandingkan kompos tanpa penambahan zeolit. pH selama pengomposan dengan zeolit menjadi semakin asam. Suhu pengomposan untuk semua tipe tidak mencapai tahap termofilik. Kadar C, kadar N dan kadar Fe diukur masing-masing dengan metoda Walkley and Black, metoda kjeldhal dan metoda AAS. Penambahan 30 – 90 g zeolit pada kompos ampas tahu mampu meningkatkan degradasi C 42,5 % – 61,5 %, kenaikan kadar N 25,3 % – 148,0 %, penyerapan logam Fe 39,20 % – 58,36 % dibandingkan kompos tanpa penambahan zeolit. Dari data yang didapatkan, hanya penambahan 60 g dan 90 g pada masing-masing 1 kg ampas tahu yang mendekati hasil mutu SNI 19-7030-2004 tentang speksifikasi kompos dari sampah organik domestik. ABSTRACT THE INFLUENCE OF ADDITION NATURAL ZEOLITE ON PHYSICAL AND CHEMICAL PROPERTIES OF TOFU WASTE COMPOST by: ZUL ARIFIN (06 132 047) Bachelor of Science (S. Si) in the field of Chemistry, Faculty of Mathematic and Natural Science, University of Andalas Advised by: Dr. Upita Septiani dan Dr. Syukri The research about influence of natural zeolite of Kidul Mountain Yogyakarta on physical and chemical properties of compost with tofu waste as main ingredient has been done. Compost in which zeolite as an ingredient had grayish black color. The use 30 – 90 g zeolite in tofu waste compost would increase final result compost mass were 24.51 % – 58.82 % comparing compost without addition zeolite. pH during composting with zeolite became more acid. Temperature during composting for all kinds variation could not reach thermofilic stage. Concentration C, N and Fe is respectively determined by Walkley and Black method, kjeldhal method and AAS method. Addition of 30 – 90 g zeolite in tofu waste compost could increase degradation C 42.5 % – 61.5 %, availability N 25.3 % – 148.0 %, uptake metal Fe 39.20 % – 58.36 % compared compost without zeolite addition. From data that has been obtained, only additional 60 g and 90 g to 1 kg composting tofu waste were approached to SNI 19-7030-2004 about specification of domestic organic garbage compost.
