Abstract
melongena L.)AS A PHOTOSENSITIZERS IN DYE SENSITIZED SOLAR CELL by: Nadya Pratiwi (BP : 1010411002) Prof.Dr.Hermansyah Aziz, Olly Norita Tetra M.Si. ABSTRACT Fabricated of dye sensitised dolar cell based of ZnO nanocrystal electrode using natural dye from peel of eggplant, electrolite of I-/I3 -, counter-electrode of carbon which assembled as a sandwich type had been done. Extraction of dyes was characterized by using UV-Vis Spectrophotometer. It had shown that dye have wide absorbtion in visible light range with maximum wave length (λmax) 538 nm. The circuit of solar cell was measured their voltage value, their current electricity and their power based on variation the time of soaking semiconductor layer in dye solution from 5, 10, 15, and 20 minutes. The result of research has shown voltage, current electricity, and power in soaking 20 minutes had performance cell resulting better in performancing with voltage, current electricity, and power 412 mV, 0,027 mA, and 11,124 mW. The result of current voltage characteristics of curve given 0,0018-0,0057 mA short circuit current, 162-318 mV open circuit voltage for soaking respectively and the highest Fill Factor (FF) is 0,5 for solution dye with soaking 15 minutes. The highest efficiency is 0,0097% for solution dye with soaking 20 minutes. Keywords:Dye Sensitised Solar Cell (DSSC), natural dye, efficiency, Fill Factor (FF)
