ABSTRACT
In this research, the simulation of control system design Load Frequency Control (LFC) with H2 Optimal Control. In this simulation using MATLAB 2013a software. Weighting values as found in the LFC system, weighting W1, W2, and W3 on Optimal H2 controllers are used to analyze the dynamic stability. From the simulation results obtained by the analysis of system performance in the time domain and the system performance in the frequency domain. For performance time domain systems, control systems Load Frequency Control (LFC) with H2 Optimal Control obtaining steady state error value that is equal to 0.18174 and the value of settling time (Ts) is 0.1984 seconds quicker. For performance in the frequency domain, the control system Load Frequency Control (LFC) with H2 Optimal Control which includes wide band (bandwidth), obtain the value of which is 35.679 rad / sec, so that the rise time (Tr) in response to a closed ring system switchover fast time domain is 0.0638 seconds. Load control system Frequency Control (LFC) with H2 Optimal Control is sturdy (robust) to interference, can reduce noise at high frequencies and has a rapid response to certain inputs.
