TEMPERATURE AND PRESSURE INPUT USING FUZZY LOGIC

Breathing monitoring system is a system that monitor the changing of
temperature and pressure of the breathing air continuously around nose and
mouth or technically the air which come in and go out from lung. The breathing
monitoring system used in health care units are not designed to monitor the
breathing process continuously and the cost is very expensive. It is needed to
make a system with a simple design and low price to monitor the patient condition
continuously. Therefore, this research try to build the breathing monitoring
system using BMP085 censor to detect the temperature and pressure of the
breathing that attached to the masker and connected to arduino UNO
microcontroller. There are 3 indicators of the research namely normal,
stertorous, and very stertorous which are indicated by the light of RGB led. The
indicators are controlled by using fuzzy logic method based on the temperature
and pressure input. Based on the experiment result from 2 people as samples, the
range pressure change in normal condition is -18 up to 18 pa, and the stertorous
condition fluctuates vary from the normal range. The conclusion of this research
is that the instrument can differentiate the changing of pressure in the very
stertorous, stertorous, and normal condition on the patient with the breathing
disease history.
