Abstract
ABSTRAC
The general election is a manifestation of the people's sovereignty . As
the embodiment of the law of the State within the framework of the Republic of Indonesia , then either election elections DPR, DPD and DPRD , and the election of President and Vice President Election of Regional Head and Deputy Head should be carried out according to the law . When compared with the 2005
General Election on the political participation rate is increased by 2005 the amount of community participation rates as much 72,23%, whereas in 2010 to
75%. But there is one of eleven sub district is low political participation of citizens in the district namely Acid Jujuhan .. Based on that , the authors wanted to know and do the study of Public Political Participation in the District and in District Koto barking Acid Dharmasraya Jujuhan on Election 2010.
Of exposure and above the fact that it can be formulated problem will be studied in this research is , What factors are melatarbelakngi high community participation in Nagari Koto Salak District Toy Island and what factors are melatarbelakngi low community participation in Nagari Sinamar Jujuhan acid District on election districts Dharmasraya in 2010 . Research informants were registered voters at the DPT and also use the right pilihnyan voters do not exercise their voting rights in the election of 2010 Dharmasraya . The results showed that the factors behind the high voter turnout in District Koto Salak and in the District Asam Jujuhan is economic status the level of education and profesi.
Later suggestions that can pull of this study are as follows : Operator shall disseminate election election programs are to be implemented which is expected to increase the political participation of the public in the vote in the election , to the community , as well as to the organizers .
