Abstract
This study aims to look at the perception of farmers on irrigation management P3A in
irrigation area of Bandar Sawah Padang, Solok Selatan. This research is a quantitative research. Variable consisted of independent variables, namely the perception of farmers, and the dependent variable, includes water acquisition, water allocation, system maintenance, procurement of resources, and handling conflict. Analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results showed that: P3A facilitate the farmers in obtaining water for irrigation and to provide water in large amounts, P3A always distributes water to each farmer without distinction and allocation distribution of water use taking into account the availability and water needs, the P3A always encourage farmers to participate and perform maintenance and care irrigation channel system, P3A gather manpower for maintenance of irrigation, P3A need to raise funds through dues to farmers for irrigation maintenance, P3A accommodate and mediate disputes as a result of the allocation of water.
