Abstract
Cultural dimension is one of the aspects which can determine whether there is a favourable condition to foster entrepreneurship in a country. Most of the studies in cultural context on entrepreneurship are based on the cultural dimensions developed by Geert Hofstede in 1980 and from this basis, there many empirical research between countries are developed. Interesting to be found is what happens in the entrepreneurial culture in Indonesia based on Hofstedeās cultural dimensions concept. This paper will use indicators of cultural dimensions as suggested by Hofstede to see whether Indonesian cultural dimension can foster or detriment entrepreneurial culture in Indonesia. Keywords: Cultural dimensions, entrepreneurship, Global Entrepreneurship Monitor, power distance, individualism/collectivism, masculinity/femininity, uncertainty avoidance, long term orientation.
