Abstract

The experiment on effect of flavonoid and arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi on the growth and yield of soybean on Ultisols was designed in Randomized complete design with three replications and two factors. This study was conducted in a green house experiment and at the Laboratory of Agronomy, Faculty of Agriculture, Andalas University. The objective of this research was to investigate the effect of flavonoid and mycorrhizal arbuscular fungi on the growth and yield of soybean. The first factor consisted of four levels concentration of flavonoid i.e. 0, 20, 40, and 60 ppm polybag-1. The second factor consisted of three levels of mycorrhizal arbuscular fungus i.e. 0, 50, and 100 g polybag-1. The result of the research showed that the treatment of flavonoid and arbuscular mycorrhizal fungus has no significant effect on the growth of soybean, but both treatments have significant effect on component of yield and yield of soybean.
