Abstract

An experiment to determine the best concentration of GA3 to increase the growth of cinchona has been conducted at the acclimatization room of Laboratory of Tissue Culture, Faculty of Agriculture, Andalas Univer¬sity, Padang from May to November 2007. The experimental units were arranged in a Completely Randomized Design with 4 treatments and 3 replicates. Treatments were concentrations of GA3 namely 20, 40, 60, 80 ppm. Results indicated that the application of 60 ppm GA3 increased plant height, number of leaves and number of lateral root. Keyword : GA3, Cinchona succirubra Pavon.
