Abstract

Perumnas Belimbing lies at Kecamatan Kuranji (Kuranji District) Padang city. The condition at these houses complex has a very narrow frontyard at each of it. This condition restrict the ability of the society to make a green environment through tree planting and agriculture activity specialized for vegetables. One kind of the vegetables that enable to plant in this restrict condition is onion (bawang merah / Allium cepa). To do the onion farm is by using alternative media such as hull of rice media, charcoal from hull of rice and ash media. At least true this activity we expect can build the participate from them to maximize environment for the green environment. Key words : narrow frontyard, onion, hull of rice, charcoal, ash.
