Abstract

The experiment about " Effect of NAA and Kinetin on the Growth of Pandanus (Pandanus tectorius) an In Vitro" was conducted at tissue culture laboratory of Faculty of Agriculture Andalas University from September to Desember 1997. This experiment was aimed to get the best medium composition with NAA and Kinetin to the growth of pandanus culture d in vitro. This experiment used the Completely Randomized Design in factorial. First factor (A) was NAA with 4 compositions : 0,0 mg/l (A0), 1,0 mg/l (Al), 2,0 mg/l (A2), and 3,0 mg/l (A3). Second factor (B) was given Kinetin with 5 compositions : 1,5 mg/l (B0), 0,5 mg/l (B1), 1,0 mgn (B2), 1,5 mgfl (B3), and 2,0 mg/l (B4). It was found that medium composition of MS + 3 mgn NAA + 0 mg/l Kintein (A3B0) was the best com-position for callus propagation. This experiment did not produce planlet.
