Abstract
It has been isolated an isoflavonoid from wasteproduct of tempeh industry as a white brownish amorphous solid, melted at 286o – 289o C (dec.). The compound was identified based on its organoleptic, melting point, paper chromatography, ultraviolet spectrum by addition of shift reagents and infrared spectrum. It was concluded that the compound was 7,4'-dihidroksiisoflavon or daidzein
