Abstract

4,7,8 trimetoksi furo (2,3-β) kuinolin (1) and Stigmasterol (2) were isolated from the leaves of Lunasia amara Blanco by chromatographic method. The structures of these compounds were established based on their spectroscopic properties. Alkaloid (1) was first reported from this plant.
