Abstract

This article aim to classify and explain expressional speak forms of command meaning in Minangkabau Pariaman Language. The theory have used is theory told by Wijana (1996) about speaks forms and theory told by Leech in Widjana (1996) about components say. The method used to explain expressional speak forms of command meaning is method correspond, that is method translational correspond, referential correspond and pragmatically correspond. Method corresponds to be realized in two technique, that is elementary technique and continuation technique. Elementary technique the used is dissociation determinant element technique and its continuation technique is link to compare to differentiate technique. The result of discussion indicate that there are two form of direct speaks able to be used to express command meaning in Language of Minangkabau Pariaman that is form of direct speaks and form of indirect speaks. Meaning expression govern with form of direct speaks can be phrased with one sentences modus, that is with sentences modus of declarative. While meaning expression govern with form of indirect speaks, can be phrased with two sentences modus, that is with sentences modus of declarative sentences modus and of interrogatives.
