Abstract

This study talks about language research. It also shows the relationship between language research with literature, history, and philosophy. Literature is one of the object in language research. However the knowledge about the result of language research is usefull for writing in literature. In the aspect of the history, language research, in particular, may contribute some materials for reconstruction of the prehistoric as well as the language history. The study might be used to find the origin, as well as the migrating direction of the language speaking group. On the other hand, the contribution of history is related to judge whether the form of the language is origin or borrowing, besides supporting the linguistics evidence. In the aspect of philosophy, language research is based on philosophy. Morever language research develops linguisticts.
