Abstract

An experiment was conducted in Limau Manis (Padang. West Sumatera) during 1998/99 Wet Season (July - Octo- ber l998), to find the efficient source of an organic fertili- zer, A Randomized Complete Block Design with six treatments and three replications was used. The treat- ment were : 50 kg /ha NPK 100 kg/ha NPK, 50 kg/ha SS, 100 kg/ha SS, 50 kg/ha 55 + 75 kg/ha KCI and 150 Kg/ha Urea + 100 kg/ha SP36 + 75 kg/ha KCI (recom- mended). The Cisokan variety was planted on 4mx5m plots with a spacing of 25cmx25cm. The results showed that different fertilizer source had significant effect on growth and yield components The SS (Amophos) fertilizer increased growth and yield components and tended to in- crease grain yield as well as effrciency as compared with recommended fertilizer.
