Abstract
A method, sensitive, and selective adsorptive stripping voltammetry procedure for determination of lead (II) is presented. The method is based on the adsorptive accumulation of calcon complexes of this element onto a hanging mercury drop electrode, followed by reduction of adsorbed species by voltammetric scan using differential pulse modulation. The aim of this method to get optimum conditions for determination of lead (II ).Adsorptive stripping voltammetry (AdSV) has been used for the ultra trace determination of lead using calcon as complexes (ligand). Parameters were done, accumulation potential, like accumulation time, pH and concentration of ligand. In this case, the optimum conditions were reached in accumulation potential -0,6 Volt, accumulation time 60 second, pH 4.0 and concentration of calcon 0,03 mM. In the optimum conditions, a linear calibration graph was obtained with correlation coefficient of 0.9971, the relative standard deviation was 2.27% for eight replicates (n = 8) measurements of l0 µg/L of Pb(II). Key word : adsorptive, calcon, lead (II), stripping and voltammetry
