Abstract

The use of phosphate rock and Arbuscular Mycorrhiza Fungi (AMF) inoculation on peat soil was conducted under greenhouse condition. Peat soil of Silaut III, West Sumatera used as culture media for the corn growth. The objective of this research was to determine P absorption and corn production on peat soil treated with phosphate rock fertilizer and AMF. The experiment was arranged in factorial design with two factors . The first factor was phosphate rock with five level application (0, 100, 200, 300 and 400 kg/ha) and the second factor was three level application of AMF inoculant (0, 100 and 200 g.pot-t). The results showed that phosphate rock and inoculation AMF increased P absorption, AMF infection percentage, dry maffer weight and growth of corn but this condition was not sufficient to support the seed formation.
