Abstract

The influence of addition of propionate and valine to the erythromycine production produced by Saccharopolyspora erythrea ATTC 11635 was studied. The erythromycine fermentatation ias carried out by using shaker method where a solution containing glucose, sucrose, tryp- tone and yeast exstract was used as inaculation medium. It was found that the addition of propionate or valine increased the rate of cell growth of Saccharapolyspora erythrea ATTC 11635, in this case the propionate worked better. Addi- tion of valine increased erythromycine production but not to propionate.
