Abstract

Nagari Ulakan, Kecamatan Tapakis, Kabupaten Padang Pariaman is one of area which some of residents of consuming cooking oil where local society work sold fried alongside local area market and roadsides. From survey result, they prefer to use cooking oil (minyak jelantah) by repeatedly unknowingly the risk its. To the reason of that have been done counselling about the danger usage of oil of jelantah and using it as raw material for the making of liquid soap. Test laboratory to quality of minyak jelantah was got that sour content of free fat, peroxide number, colour and also degree of acidity of minyak jelantah were no longger fulfill SII standart and can be expressed that the quality of from minyak jelantah go down and improper weared. Result of this activity is expected can overcome ex- cooking oil waste and can mendokrak economics of society of respon the got is very enthusiastic local society of utuk follow counselling and training of exploiting of minyak jelantah as raw material making of liquid soap, seen from respon and question of information them will concerning danger usage of minyak jelantah.
