Abstract

The experiment was carried out at Research Station at BPTP Sukarami West Sumatera, from December 2007 to April 2008. The goal of this research is to study about the interaction of the aplication of organic fertilizer with different level with or without AMF to growth and qulaity of potatoes. This research was arranged in Split-Split Plot Design, with Main Plot are: AMF (with or without AMF), Subplot are: a kind of organic fertlizers (cascing of empty bunch palm oil, compost of paddy straw, and compost of Thitonia diversifolia), and the sub-sub plot are: level of organic fertilizers (0, 10, and 20 t/ha). The observation are included: height, LAI, NAR, CGR, number of tubers, fresh weight and also quality (nutritional content). The result showed that there is a significant interactions between organic fertilizers with different level with or without AMF to growth and quality of potatoes yield. The result indicated that the best growth and yield was-obtained by giving organic fertilizer from Thitonia diversifolia with 20 t/ha without AMF, the fresh weight of tuber is: 165.72 g/plant and with AMF by giving organic fertilizer from cascing of empty bunch palm oil with 20 t/ha is 164.45 g/plant. The nutrititional content of yield showed that carbohydrate and vitamin C were increased as increasing level of organic fertlizer with or without AMF, sugar content. protein, and lipid were decreased as increasing the level of organic fertlizer.
