Abstract

To reach hight productivity of ruminant, it is neccssary to supply additional feed wich can meet the nutritional requirement of the animal legumesr gererally, contain hight protein content so that they can be used as protein sources. The aim of this experiment was conducted to the best of kind legumes as suplement for ruminant receiver rice straw ammoniation of basal diet. The experiment was performed by using a completely randomized design set of treatment 3 x 4 by in-vitro. The treatments were three different legumes i.e : leucaena, gliricidia and caliandra. The result showed that DM, OM and CP degradation of those legumes were hightly significantly different (P<0,01). The highest degradation of DM, OM and CP was leucaena followed by gliricidia and calliandra.
