Abstract

This historial study, Bukitinggi in colonial period, is interested to be searched, because during this time the structure of town had been formed and also the system of the private owner land and ecology was changed. Firstly the system of the own was adressed to the property of a clan, but later most of the leved had been owned by the dutch colonial through, borrowing, puchasing, and clainning as their own. Beside that, some town facility such as government office building, garnizun area, market place are also had been built by the colonial, and it was effected from rural area to be urban.
