Abstract

The objective of this study to examine the influence of corporate Governance compliance on bank's performance. corporate Governance Compliance is measured using 92 items iecommended by GCG codes, which are developed by KNKCG (2004), KNKG (2006), Indonesian Banking Regulation number 8/4/PBI/2006 and number 8/14/PBI/2006. The units of analysis are 15 banla registered on Indonesian stock Exchange for the period 2003-2006. The statistical method being used is simple regression arnlysis. The results of this study show that Corporate Governarrce Compliance has positive influence on return on assets, significant positive influence on operating expenses to operating revenues and also has significant positive influence on market to book value. The results of this study have revealed that Corporate Governnnce Compliance in Indone s ian banking industrie s run w ell.
