Abstract

This research is conducted to describe the relationship between locations with the same name to trace the speakers migration. The relationship can be analyze from the various aspects. In this occasion, the research is focused on three aspects, namely: kinship system, the clan’s name, and addressing system. The data collected from informants through listening and interviewing method. Beside that, is used recording technique and writing technique. To analyze the data is used identity method. Based on the analysis can be concluded that the same name of locations does not usually determine the similarity of kinship system. The same name of locations does not determine the similarity of clan’s name, and the same name of locations does not determine the similarity of addressing system. Based on the analysis of the three aspects can be concluded that the same name of locations does not used to trace the speakers migration.
