Abstract

The research of the aftershock frequencies for the Gunung Rajo and Mentawai earthquake cases has been done to find the proper equation of the decrease of aftershock activities trend to predict the time -of the last aftershock will be occurred. The least square calculation method shows that the smallest square regretion method with the second Mog method are the most proper method to predict the time of the last aftershock will be occured. The Gunung Rajo aftershock stoped at the 7* duy after mainshock with -0,g2 in correlation coefficient. The mentawai aftershock stoped at the 142ft day after the mainshock with -0,82 in correlation coefficient.
