Abstract

An in-vitro study of the effect of the methanolic extract of marine sponge Acanthodendrilla sp. on mast cell degranulation induced by different concentration of white hen egg antigen,have been studied. Results showed that the methanolic extract of marine sponge Acanthodendrilla sp. at the on concentration of 400 g/ml decreased the degranulation of the actively induced with 50 % white hen egg antigen mase cell. Aminophyllin, used as standard at the concentration of 100 g/ml, decreased the degranulation of actively induced 50 % white hen egg antigen mast cell. Results showed that the effectiveness of methanolic extract of marine sponge Acanthodendrilla sp. was 0,25 times than that of aminophyllin.
