Abstract

Investigation of the leaves of Calophyllum soulattri Burm.f. (Bitanggur) led to isolation of pentacyclic triterpenoid friedelin (I). The structure elucidation of isolated compound is established on the basis of the spectroscopic data such as IR, 1H and 13C NMR as well as mass spectra.
