Abstract
Nutrition anemia is one of nutrition problems in Indonesia and still become health problem in community. The major cause of nutrition anemia in Indonesia is iron deficiency. Many factors influence the occurrence of anemia such as knowledge of nutrition anemia, education level, economic level and consumption of nutrition (protein, iron, vitamin C, vitamin A, infection and attitude). The other causes of iron deficiency anemia are increasing of body needs due to chronic diseases and bloods lose due to parasites infection (worm) and menstruation. Iron deficiency anemia can cause decreasing of physical activity, productivity and cognitive ability. In Indonesia, worm diseases still a major problem in iron deficiency anemia because worm sucks the blood 2-100 cc a day. The aim of this study is to determine the effect of Fe supplementation with and without worm drugs to hemoglobin level in anemic girl teenager in Pondok Pesantren Tarbiyah Islamiyah Pasir Kec. IV Angkat Canduang. Study design is quasi experimental. Research subjects are anemic girl teenage (Hb < 12 gr/dl) then randomly to divide as sample group such as supplement group Fe+ worm drugs (treatment) and supplement Fe group (control).Fe is given as 60 mg elemental iron And 0,25 ml folat acid by dosis 1 x 1 /day outside period and 3x1 /day inside period. Worm drugs is given before supplement Fe on treatment with single dose 125 ml include Pyrantel PAmoate. The result of this experiment showed that, Fe tablet supplement + worm drugs and Fe supplement for 6 weeks can increase Haemoglobin level of anemia teenages (p < 0,05). Haemoglobin level in Fe supplement group increased 2,8643 gr/dl and in group of Fe supplement + worm drugs increased 3,3593 gr/dl. It shown that the increasing of haemoglobin level higher on the group of Fe supplement + worm drugs than the other group. The difference of increasing of Haemoglobin level in both group are not statistically significant ( p. 0,05). However it does not mean that the result is also meaningless in the view of clinical aspects. Keywords : Nutrition Anemia, Fe supplement, worm drugs.
