Abstract

The main objective of this study to find out the ontribution of woman's income as tea picker toward family income, working hours, and their influence upon their responsibility as house wife. The result shows that husband's income of woman labor is lower than husband's income of unemployed woman. The main reason why they should work in plantation as tea picker is to increase famiiy income. By working in plantation they contribute about 43 Vo of the total family income. Time and allocation be- tween laboring and unemployed women are different. Women laboi have less time to do domestic activities at home since they have to work outside. As the results the domestic activities have been reallocated to other family member.
